Remove personal items. Take out all loose objects, toll tags, aftermarket accessories, and anything that could shift or break.

Check fluid levels. Ensure the fuel tank is no more than a quarter full, and check oil, coolant, and windshield washer fluid – but don’t overfill.

Document the condition. Take photos of the exterior and interior from multiple angles before loading.

Secure the vehicle. Make sure the battery is charged, the tires are inflated to the recommended pressure, and the hand‑brake is released. Provide the carrier with a working set of keys.

Disable alarms. Turn off any alarm systems or anti‑theft devices that could trigger during transport.

Yes. When you ship a vehicle to or from Colorado with Sakaem Logistics, the carrier must carry at least $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. We verify the carrier’s policy is active and in good standing for the entire trip, so your car is covered against loss or damage while in transit.

Plan ahead. In Colorado we advise booking your pickup at least 14 days in advance. This gives carriers time to bundle your vehicle with nearby loads and to route around mountain passes and seasonal weather. If you need a ship during peak times—spring ski season, summer tourism, or holidays—booking 3‑4 weeks early helps secure space and avoids last‑minute price spikes. For off‑peak weeks, two weeks is usually enough, but the earlier you post, the more options you’ll get.

We accept all forms of payment. We can arrange credit cards or arrange for you to pay the carrier directly through cash/certified check. We even accept payment via Cash/Zelle/Venmo.

Your shipment with SAKAEM includes up to 100 lbs of personal items or household goods stored in the trunk area or secured below the window line. If your shipment includes ocean transit (Hawaii shipments), your vehicle must be emptied of all items. A designated (adult) must be present at pickup and delivery. This designated person plays an important role in the shipping process including documenting the state of the vehicle and signing the Bill of Lading, which acts as a receipt of the vehicle’s condition.

Open transport uses a standard flatbed trailer with three lanes. It is the most common and cost‑effective method. Your vehicle is secured with straps but is exposed to wind, rain, snow, dust and road debris. In Colorado, open trucks are ideal for everyday cars, trucks or SUVs that can tolerate the elements and the occasional mountain dust.

Enclosed transport places the vehicle inside a fully covered trailer. The price is typically 40‑60% higher than open because the trailer protects against weather, road salt, stones and low‑clearance damage. This option is best for classic cars, luxury models, custom paint jobs or any vehicle whose value or finish could be harmed by exposure during a long haul through Colorado’s high‑altitude routes.

Both services include door‑to‑door pickup and delivery, insurance coverage and professional drivers. The main trade‑off is cost versus protection: choose open for budget‑friendly, low‑risk shipments; choose enclosed when you need extra security for a high‑value or delicate vehicle.

Yes, Sakaem Logistics provides door‑to‑door auto transport throughout Colorado. When you book, we ask for the exact pickup and delivery addresses. Our carrier will travel to those locations as long as they are accessible and legal. If a driveway is too narrow or a road has restrictions, we will work with you to choose a nearby safe spot such as a gas station or parking lot.
