Give the carrier a working key. Remove all personal items such as toll passes, GPS units, and loose accessories that could shift during transport.

Check fluid levels. Keep the fuel tank no more than one‑quarter full and make sure oil, coolant and brake fluid are at normal levels.

Document the car’s condition. Take clear photos of the interior and exterior before it leaves.

Secure or remove exterior add‑ons. Take off antennas, roof racks, spoilers, and any aftermarket parts that could be damaged.

Disable alarms and anti‑theft devices. These can prevent the carrier from accessing the vehicle.

Inflate tires to the recommended pressure. Properly inflated tires reduce strain on the carrier’s equipment.

Yes. When you ship a vehicle in Nevada with Sakaem Logistics, the carrier must carry at least $1,000,000 in liability insurance and $100,000 in cargo insurance. We verify that the policy is active and in good standing before the truck leaves the terminal. If a carrier’s coverage falls short, we do not assign that carrier to your load.

These coverages protect you if the vehicle is damaged, stolen, or lost while in transit. The liability limit applies to bodily injury and third‑party property damage, while the cargo limit applies directly to your car.

If you have personal auto insurance or a credit‑card protection plan, you may have additional coverage, but Sakaem’s insurance is the baseline guarantee for every shipment.

In short, your car is insured for the full journey, and we keep a copy of the carrier’s certificate on file for the duration of the transport.

Schedule early, but give yourself a buffer. We recommend booking your Nevada pickup at least two weeks in advance. This gives carriers enough time to plan routes, combine your vehicle with nearby loads, and lock in a reliable driver.

During peak travel periods—late spring, summer, and holiday weekends—demand spikes. If you can, aim for three to four weeks lead time in those months to secure the best price and avoid last‑minute surcharges.

If your move is urgent, we can try to find an expedited carrier, but availability is limited and costs may be higher. Planning ahead lets us keep rates low and service reliable, staying true to our mission of giving you value and breaking the broker monopoly.

We accept all forms of payment. We can arrange credit cards or arrange for you to pay the carrier directly through cash/certified check. We even accept payment via Cash/Zelle/Venmo.

Your shipment with SAKAEM includes up to 100 lbs of personal items or household goods stored in the trunk area or secured below the window line. If your shipment includes ocean transit (Hawaii shipments), your vehicle must be emptied of all items. A designated (adult) must be present at pickup and delivery. This designated person plays an important role in the shipping process including documenting the state of the vehicle and signing the Bill of Lading, which acts as a receipt of the vehicle’s condition.

When you ship a vehicle in Nevada you can choose an open trailer or an enclosed carrier. Both move your car safely, but they differ in price, protection, and typical use cases.

Open transport uses a standard flatbed with side rails. The car is secured with straps and covered only by the sky. It is the most common method, so routes are frequent and prices are lower—usually 40‑60% of the cost of an enclosed load.

Enclosed transport puts the vehicle inside a fully covered trailer. The door is sealed, protecting the car from dust, wind, road debris, and weather extremes. Because the trailer holds fewer cars, the price is higher—typically 50%‑70% more than open.

• Weather considerations: In Nevada’s desert heat or winter snow, enclosed keeps temperature more stable and prevents sand or ice damage.
• Availability: Open carriers are plentiful on most Nevada routes; enclosed carriers may require advance booking.

Yes, we offer door‑to‑door auto transport in Nevada. When you book, we ask for the exact pickup and delivery addresses you want. If those locations are reachable, our carrier will load your vehicle at your door and drop it off at the destination door.

If a road, bridge, or local regulation makes a direct door delivery unsafe, we will let you know right away and suggest a nearby, convenient spot such as a well‑lit parking lot or gas station.
